Meath Green Lane needs a pelican crossing

Last month, I met the Deputy Head of Meath Green Junior School in Horley, Rob Newell, who was desperate to get a pelican crossing as over 100 children cross the dangerous road everyday, putting them at risk.

Surrey County Council has been ignoring their requests for years.

Today, we handed in our petition for a pelican crossing outside Meath Green Junior School to Surrey County Council with 611 signatures. The council is now obliged to discuss this at a committee meeting.

We have local elections next year where we can make this happen if the Conservative County Council won't.
