Surrey heads urge the Education Secretary to intervene over SEND

A group of headteachers representing over 300 primary schools across Surrey have written to the Education Secretary that they have diminished trust in Surrey County Council because the positive messages the council is communicating about SEND is not reflecting their experience. 

They are seeing the council issuing poor quality EHCPs resulting in children receiving inadequate support, which can push some children into mental health crises with the most devastating consequences.
