Chris welcomes funding for brain tumour treatment research
Last year, I spoke about Billy, my constituent who was 4 years old when he passed away from an incurable brain tumour, I urged the government to support research into finding a cure. I’m pleased the government has now allocated £13.7million in funding research to improve how new treatments for brain tumours are developed Investing in research for rare cancers not only benefits children who suffer from these horrific diseases, but also increases the UK's clinical research and development capability more broadly.
