Chris influences the Government's growth policy in Spring Statement

I asked the Chancellor to look at this in November and told her yesterday, how delighted I was that this research is now the basis of the government's economic policy for raising economic growth with R&D focused defence spending. It is vital that we raise economic growth to reduce the cost of living for my constituents and it is excellent news that the government has adopted this ground breaking economic research.

The research is responsible for significantly upgrading the government's long term economic growth forecast from the economic productivity increases that can occur from public research and development catalysing the private sector.
