Chris fights train fare hikes

The government says it’s freezing rail fares but Sue’s train ticket has risen 24%. Southern trains has used the introduction of tap in / tap out to scrap some ticket types to “align” with TFL. Some tickets have almost tripled.
Southern wrote back to me saying any extra money they make goes to the government implying that’s ok…. I’ll be taking this up with the government to ask them why aren’t they freezing fares like they’ve promised.
