Chris demands better communication from Surrey Highways

Surrey Highways have alarmed elderly residents, due to poor communication, into thinking they'll be trapped in their homes for two weeks during the day due to road closures. Fortunately we have looked into the matter, and the road will only be shut for one week and they'll still give residents access.

This is not the first time that Surrey Highways’ lack of communication has caused alarm for constituents. The communication surrounding Dorking High Street’s overnight road closures created concern for many local businesses who received conflicting information about access to car parks, pedestrian access to the High Street and whether the whole High Street would be closed or if Surrey Highways would just close sections at a time.

I have written to Surrey Highways asking them to be clearer in their communication.
