Chris calls out government response to rail fares increase

Some individual train tickets have almost tripled after contactless was introduced, despite the government committing to freezing prices. I raised this with train operating companies, TfL and the government. I finally received a response from the Department for Transport, but frustratingly with no commitment to reducing fares for those tickets that increased. I will be meeting the rail minister soon to raise this again.
