Chris has continued support from the Ombudsman over SEND

The Local Government Ombudsman has written to the Ministry of Local Government given the seriousness of the concerns raised by Al Pinkerton MP and I about governance at Surrey County Council on SEND. They have also asked us to forward the instances we are aware of where Surrey reclassified complaints as enquiries to manipulate complaint volumes, or failed to implement tribunal or LGSO decisions. This follows similar concerns over SEND governance raised by the (then) Chair of the Children’s Select Committee at Surrey County Council Fiona Davidson with the Education Secretary.
