Chris looks for solution to UK debt doom loop

I asked George Osborne today whether there was a third way out of our country’s debt doom loop of fiscal stimulus via increased defence R&D spending funded by pooled debt with our European allies. This would also address the strategic challenge from Russia. He agreed there was an opportunity, although perhaps passed as Germany has already gone ahead and done it.
