A new chapter in Surrey's SEND provision

Cllr Hulley meeting

I met with Cllr Jonathan Hulley, Surrey County Council’s new Cabinet Member for Children and Lifelong Learning. I was impressed by Jonathan’s commitment to improving Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Surrey. 1,800 Surrey SEND children are missing school and we desperately need to get them the support they need.

A lot needs to be done and I very much hope this marks a new chapter in Surrey’s SEND provision.

I have invited him to one of our SEND Parent coffee mornings, to hear directly from parents and carers of children with SEND, which he said he will come to.

If you would like more information about these coffee mornings, please email me at chris.coghlan.mp@parliament.uk
